Every once in a while, while having a conversation with people, it will become clear that the conversation is pointless as there isn’t a common understanding of facts. I usually end these conversations by saying, “you are certainly entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.” Obviously, this is an unsustainable way to deal with the problem. Of course, the only sustainable way is to provide the person with a complete resource. This would be a) difficult to carry on a daily basis, b) probability that the individual will not read the resources, and c) part of the benefit of these resources is the constant ability to review it. Instead of just recommending a series of resources, I have assembled a brief timeline below of various points in Eritrean history (below) with references below each slide for further reading. I hope this is a resource for everyone curious about Eritrean history!
